FOSTER CARE UPDATE – WEEK 1
Moonie is a perfectly behaved boy. He needed no toilet training and doesn’t get on the couch. He also walks perfectly on the lead but has pulled towards passing dogs. He always watches what is going on but if it is something he doesn’t understand he will be quite timid. He runs away but keeps coming back to peek. He is quite afraid of visitors but if they are sitting down he will eventually come into the room. At the moment he doesn’t know any commands and still tries to get out the door. He immediately used the stairs to take himself in and out the dog door.
FOSTER CARE UPDATE – WEEK 2
Moonie is much more relaxed this week. He gets quite excited now when he greets us. He can still be quite cautious of people coming in the front door. He is very gentle and loving, is learning his command words and his only naughty thing is trying to push his way past to get out the front door but does know what stay means so given time he will stop this.
FOSTER CARE UPDATE – WEEK 3
Moonie allows you to withdraw food from him whilst eating. He can be quite timid around new people at first but watches and loves people once he gets to know them. He has been calm around children and friendly with other dogs – my husky and a terrier – on the street I didn’t let him get too close but he was very inquisitive. I believe Moonie would be suitable to a home with people of any age and he would prefer another dog for company so he has someone he can play with. He is a good walker, doesn’t need any correction and he is a good traveler in the car.
