The day provided an opportunity for people interested in fostering or adopting a greyhound to meet and get to know a greyhound.
GAP Tasmania coordinator Susan Gittus was extremely pleased with the outcome of the day.
“We were extremely pleased to have fostered out a number of dogs on the day”.
GAP Tasmania is operated by Tasracing and works to help greyhounds find a permanent pet home after retiring from racing.
“One of our key focuses is to educate the public on what a gentle and affectionate pet greyhounds are,” Mrs Gittus said.
“Events like this provide the perfect forum to do this.”
